Bernie Reller
The Lone Palm™ jewelry collection is the culmination of a lifelong celebration of the “Margaritaville” island lifestyle. Bernard draws inspiration from his experiences as a Sailor and Treasure Diver and Pilot of Fixed Wing Aircraft, Gliders and Hot Air Balloons. He is a hands-on craftsman and designer who holds a degree in Physics from the University of Florida and has created the largest collection of fine Nautical and Sea Life designs on the planet. Bernard displays his work at Fine Jewelers and Galleries throughout the US and the Caribbean and through select internet retailers and recently the LonePalmJewelry website. The adventure continues.
Markus Reller 1905 - 1992
Marcus Reller began his career in 1919 in Vienna, Austria as an apprentice to a master jeweler. In 1930 he earned his Master Craftsman certification in the Vienna Goldsmiths’ Guild and established a company to produce silver cigarette cases, compacts and the like for the European market.
In 1938 Marcus fled Nazi Europe, making his way to New York. In 1946 he and a friend from Austria established the Aurel jewelry company to produce Niagra brand gold watch bracelets for high quality Swiss watches.
In the early fifties the Reller family discovered the joys of a South Florida life style. In 1956 he and his partner sold Aurel and Marcus moved the family permanently to their winter home in Miami Beach.
This was the heyday of the charm business and Marcus established Reller, Inc. to produce gold charms and jewelry for the Florida and Caribbean tourist market. Reller, Inc. was one of the very first of many later manufacturers to open up in Miami’s famed Seybold building. The influx of skilled Cuban jewelers around this time contributed to the success the enterprise.
In 1975 Marcus’ son Bernie joined the family business to establish a new in-house lost wax casting department and to create his own line of Nautical and Sea Life designs, later to be called Lone Palm Jewelry reflecting the company’s registered palm tree mark.
In 1982, with Miami rents soaring and Marcus looking to retire, the decision was made to relocate to the very pleasant college town of Gainesville, Florida, home of Bernie’s alma mater, the University of Florida.
Today Bernie and his crew strive to maintain Marcus’ tradition of European Master Craftsmanship in all our products.

Kathleen Morris
After a successful career in marketing management with AT&T, Kathleen joined the company in 1984. As an accomplished practitioner and instructor in the Chong Nhu style of oriental martial arts and with her superior organizational skills, Kathleen quickly rose to the position of Manager, General, overseeing production, office and customer service personnel. Her tireless dedication has been a major factor in the success of our enterprise.
